Rugby player, Ilona Maher revealed her most famous DM from pop-star P!nk while she's at the Sports Illustrated September issue photoshoot.

Ilona Maher took the fans behind her phone screen for an interview with Sports Illustrated and shared her chat with the pop singer P!nk. The Olympic medalist has had some busy days after her Paris Olympic campaign. After the Olympics, Maher achieved another one of her longtime goals- to be a Sports Illustrated model.
Maher took to Bellport, New York to shoot for the digital issue of the magazine. While at it, she gave the camera a quick-detailed glance into her phone. Some of the questions she addressed were her favorite emoji, her lock screen, her most recent picture, etc. Among them, Maher revealed her most famous DM was from the pop singer P!nk who sent her a sweet message. The singer applauded one of Maher’s TikTok videos addressing internet trolls.
Maher went ahead to explain that probably P!nk often was scrutinized by internet trolls and bullies. She expressed that nice messages gave her a validation of her approach towards things. Maher went ahead to show the screen to the camera and mentioned that P!nk had sent her a whole paragraph.
Ilona Maher announced that she was the cover model for the Sports Illustrated digital September issue and became an immediate fan favorite. The athlete had already gained a significant footing on social media by exercising free speech to advocate body positivity. Her fans have found her comedic way of presentation pretty entertaining. Maher shattered stereotypes before gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated.

In recent days, Maher has become one of the most loved internet sensations. The hustle hasn’t stopped for the Olympic athlete. Amidst that, it has gotten pretty difficult for Maher to read all the DMs, so she urges people to find a better way to reach her.
In an interview with USA magazine, Maher shares that she gets plenty of DMs from potential love interests and fans alike. However, the work on her shoulders wasted their efforts. In an attempt to solve that, Maher suggested sending her letters or even pigeons if that proved to be more efficient.
Speaking of dating, Maher stated the obvious that the medal came in the way of her dates and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Answering everybody who asked her, she replied that she had been busy working after the Olympics to date.
