Orlando Magic snaps a 9-game losing streak after upsetting Brooklyn Nets

Surely when the game between Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic was to be played, Nets emerged as the clear favorites. But little did anyone now about the valiant team effort, Orlando Magic were going to put on display against all odds. Having led by Aaron Gordon who poured in 38 points. Not only that Nikola Vucevic added an impressive double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. While Evan Fournier struck 31. 

The Brooklyn Nets were led by Kyrie Irving who scored game-high 43 points. While James Harden had an off- night offensively, he failed to register and maintain his on-road double-double streak after falling short of an assist, but ended up scoring 19 points. 

Aaron Gordon leads Orlando Magic past Brooklyn Nets 

The Brooklyn Nets trailed by as many as 19 entering the last quarter, and opened the last quarter in emphatic style cutting the lead to only 4 points with just less than 10 minutes to play. But the Orlando Magic held their nerve to hold off Nets from behind the arc, what was the away team’s strongest asset.

The interesting fact to know was that the nets were less than 28% from the 3-point in this game. Whereas Orlando Magic was more than 52%. Not only that Nets were way below their average from the free-throw line as well, being less than 80%.  

Having said that Orlando Magic successfully have ended their 9-match losing streak against the big guns of the Eastern Conference, Brooklyn Nets.
