Out of favour, Isco wants to leave Real Madrid
Today, February 1, is the last day of the winter transfer market. At Real Madrid, arrivals and departures are not expected, although there is a case that could surprise.
Isco Alarcon has asked for a move away from Real Madrid. The player has got frustrated at the lack of game time offered to him by Zidane.
Real Madrid have not received any offers for Isco yet
Isco has made just 3 starts for Real Madrid this season. He was said to have been left ‘humiliated’ when he was not brought off the bench during their defeat against Levante. Bettoni, the Madrid assistant manager decided to bring on youngster Sergio Arribas over him.
Isco’s future at Real Madrid has been the heart of speculation for a long time. He has wanted to move to a club where he will be a guaranteed first team starter. He is determined to make the Spanish national squad for this summer’s European Championships. A move to the Premier League was on the cards but no offer has been made to Madrid. Sevilla and Juventus are also interested in buying the player next summer.
However, any move for Isco looks bleak in this transfer window. Madrid let Odegaard leave for Arsenal and have a dearth in the midfield department. Casemiro has no natural substitute and Fede Valverde has filled in that role sometime. He is more comfortable playing out wide. That leaves just three others – Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco.
He has a contract with Los Blancos until 2022, but it’s unlikely he’ll see out that deal. Sevilla are his most likely destination, but it’s unknown when the move will happen. He has won 4 Champions league with Real Madrid having joined the club in 2013. Isco has played 321 matches for the club and scored 51 goals.
