Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair was in the news recently after being released from the same prison that houses Diddy who is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on prostitution-related charges. Telfair was jailed for a probation violation tied to his 2023 NBA healthcare fraud case and has faced multiple legal cases over the years.

Telfair was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers as the 13th overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft and had a career in the NBA that spanned 12 years before playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. During his NBA career, he played for the Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers just to name a few. The guard was seen more as a journeyman throughout his basketball career.

American rapper P Diddy has been in the headlines over the last few months for all the wrong reasons. His recent documentary produced by 50 Cent, has been all over the news due to his long, public feud with 50 Cent.

The former NBA player was recently released from prison and chatted with TMZ about his time with Diddy.

Diddy’s holding it down. He’s doing what he gotta do. And where he’s at, they’re going to help him.

It is a huge fall from grace for Diddy, who has been living the life and has achieved so much success throughout his music career. Even his famous parties with several celebrities such as LeBron James have been criticized. While Diddy serves his sentence, Telfair has the opportunity to start a new life.
