It is no secret that Arman Tsarukyan is regarded as one of the wealthiest fighters on the current UFC roster. Much of that wealth is commonly attributed to his father, Armenian business tycoon Nairi Tsarukyan. His financial background has become a point of trash talk among opponents. That narrative resurfaced after Paddy Pimblett criticized Tsarukyan while questioning his demand for a title shot.
Tsarukyan has often been seen living a lavish lifestyle outside the Octagon. He regularly travels in luxury sports cars, dines at high-end restaurants, and stays at scenic properties during training camps and fight weeks. His father, Nairi Tsarukyan, was also present in his corner for his submission win over Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar. That bout marked Tsarukyan’s most recent appearance inside the cage.
‘Ahalkalakets’ was widely expected to compete for the lightweight title after securing the No. 1 contender position. Instead, the UFC booked Paddy Pimblett against Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324. The decision reportedly drew an adverse reaction from Tsarukyan. Pimblett later referenced that response when addressing the Armenian contender.
It’s his own fault. It’s his own family’s fault for letting him be a spoilt little baby his whole life ’cause he’s got money. He thinks he can pay his way out of anything. You’ve got to work your way back to the title.

Pimblett’s criticism has gained relevance due to UFC CEO Dana White’s stance on Tsarukyan’s title ambitions. White has said Tsarukyan must rebuild after withdrawing from his first title shot against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311. An incident in which Tsarukyan struck a fan at UFC 300 also left him in an unfavorable light. UFC leadership has since emphasized the need for him to prove himself again.
Tsarukyan has not held back in responding to the Liverpudlian either. He has questioned Pimblett’s grappling credentials and downplayed his submission victory over King Green at UFC 304 in 2024. The Armenian star has also criticized the level of competition Pimblett has faced. This all started when Pimblett had previously suggested bypassing Tsarukyan to secure a title opportunity.
This was not the first time Paddy Pimblett directed attention toward Arman Tsarukyan’s family background. Similar remarks in the past drew a strong response from the Armenian contender. Tsarukyan previously questioned Pimblett’s rise within the division. He also dismissed the significance of Pimblett’s recent wins when addressing their ongoing rivalry.
Paddy Pimblett vows to retire Justin Gaethje at UFC 324
Paddy Pimblett has established himself rapidly in the UFC and remains undefeated in the promotion. He has delivered consistent performances against recognized opposition, including his most recent knockout victory over Michael Chandler. Those results have elevated his standing within the lightweight division. He is now set to face the toughest opponent of his career at UFC 324 in Justin Gaethje.

Gaethje is widely regarded as one of the most seasoned strikers in MMA and a longtime veteran of the sport. He has competed in multiple title fights and remained a fixture near the top of the lightweight rankings. Gaethje has previously indicated that his future would depend on receiving another title opportunity. However, Pimblett has decided to make him retire at UFC 324 with a dominant performance.
He’s an absolute legend of the sport, a legend of the lightweight division, but I think I’m going to retire him. I think he could be on the verge of retiring, so when I beat him, he’s not going to get another title shot.

The matchup presents a clear contrast in styles and experience. Pimblett relies on pressure, durability, and a well-rounded grappling base to overwhelm opponents. Meanwhile, the American fighter is known for elite striking, leg kicks, and sustained pace over five-round fights. Their clash represents a meeting of emerging momentum against proven veteran pedigree.
