Paige hopes to make a WWE return

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige recently posted an interesting tweet that will get the WWE Universe excited. She was replying to an image of Edge and Daniel Bryan posted by WWE on FOX.
The 2021 Royal Rumble winner had a brief backstage interaction with Bryan. They were discussing the possibility of facing each other at Wrestlemania 37. Bryan said that Edge should challenge him at Mania, in case he manages to win the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber.
WWE on FOX posted a picture of the segment with the caption “Retirement.” Paige replied to the tweet with a fingers-crossed emoji accompanied by one day. She seemed hopeful of making an in-ring return someday.
Paige’s last match on WWE
Along with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Paige returned to WWE in late 2017. The trio was involved in a feud with Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James.
On the WWE MSG show, a kick from Banks injured Paige. The match had to be immediately stopped. Banks received a lot of backlash following the show. But Paige has mentioned on several occasions that it wasn’t Sasha’s fault.
“Nothing was ever Sasha’s fault, She got so much backlash and even in the ring, when we were in there, people are chanting ‘Sasha s**ks’ and it really upset me to hear that because it wasn’t her fault.”
Paige announced her retirement in 2018 on the Raw episode that aired after Wrestlemania 34. Since then, she has been involved with WWE in some way or the other. But has not been seen in an active ring role. Considering she is currently just 28 years old, fans can hope for her to return someday.
