Multi-time Grammy-winning artist Taylor Swift had a tough evening on Sunday at the Super Bowl. While her boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s team got crushed by the Philadelphia Eagles, she faced some heat from the fans. The pop star was loudly booed by the fans at the Caesars Superdome. Golf sensation Paige Spiranac later came into the defense.
The singer-songwriter was met with some heavy boos from the fans when she appeared at the jumbotron at the Caesars Superdome. While sitting in the VIP box along with Ice Spice, she would simply give a side-eye reaction.
While Swift might have not minded the reaction from the fans, Spiranac was not sitting out on this one. The former LPGA pro would take to her X account to defend the Swift.
The 31-year-old pointed out how the NFL’s brand value and popularity had increased since she started dating Kelce and thus booing her was “lame”.
It was reported that the NFL’s brand value has increased almost 1 billion dollars since Taylor Swift started dating Kelce. The NFL is using her popularity to boost their brand. So booing Taylor Swift is lame. She was just showing up to support her significant other. The amount of times she’s shown at a game or posted on social media is out of her control

Spiranac was not the only one who came to the aid of Taylor Swift. 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams also defended her the singer. Taking to her X account, Williams would once again shower her love towards her and urged her not to listen to the boos.
I love you @taylorswift dont listen to those booo!!

It is been speculated that this boos came from the Eagles fans present inside the stadium. The Eagles fans have been known for their “wild” behavior and have been slammed on social media on several occasions. Some even claimed that she might have been booed due to her support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential elections as Donald Trump was cheered when he appeared on the jumbotron.
Paige Spiranac gets blasted by fans on social media for defending Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift getting booed by the fans at Super Bowl was one of the talking points on Sunday. While Paige Spiranac did rush to support her, she found herself in hot waters as the fans blasted her for defending Swift.

Many fans would disagree with the take of Spiranac on how Swift had increased the brand value of NFL. One user pointed out her first statement and claimed that no NFL fan “cares” about Swift.
Check out some reactions from this development on X below:
No nfl fan gives a damn how much money she helps them generate
— IowaFan (@IowaFanHawks) February 10, 2025
It 1000% does not help the NFL brand.
— DougieDollas 🇺🇸 (@dhurstell) February 10, 2025
It helps Taylors brand, and maybe Kelce's… but the FOOTBALL fans. HATE… BRANDING…
You’re missing the point… 1. She was booed for her political stance not just her personally 2. She is a representative of the brand, you know, your personal choices affect you and the brand both good and bad… and as representative the “boos” were directed at her (as the…

She’s getting booed cause people don’t like her… The NFL‘s free to do whatever they want to make money… And we’re free to express our opinions on people as well
— Chewy (@s256anon001) February 10, 2025
She knows jack squat about the everyday person and tried to tell people to vote for Kamala
— Breakwater76 (@breakwater76) February 10, 2025
I think you actually proved everyone who’s booing’s point with your first sentence. No NFL fan cares to see Taylor Swift on the Jumbotron during a football game and they know it’s just to appease her fans which in turn boosts brand value. Just my two cents
— The Degenerate (@TheDegenWeekly) February 10, 2025
She stuck her foot into politics. That is at least 90% of where the boos came from. YOU try endorsing any national political candidate, see what happens then…
— The Feisty Boardgamer (@PaulinElkhart) February 10, 2025
They booed her because she’s rooting for the chiefs. Lots of eagles fans there
— BBG, Esq. (@bmetz131) February 10, 2025
You are so out of touch.

Worst Paige Spiranac take of all time.

Following these heated debates, Spiranac would offer a “peace offering” in another post on X. She would share a photo of her while cheering for the Eagles. Earlier in the day, she had dropped a bold suggestion regarding the halftime show for next year’s Super Bowl after Kendrick Lamar‘s performance failed to ignite the fans.
