Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving pays tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna in his latest song. As the Nets just hit their first training session, Irving dropped a song. Wherein he rapped fluently mentioning Bryant. It is so refreshing to hear Kobe’s mention alongside a word as divine as a martyr. That is hoe exactly the NBA and LA Lakers legend made us all feel. Not just an all-star or one of the best basketballers. But a player who stood for all social injustices.

It went like this, “We got so much more to do. Rocking with the ancestors, I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. I’m painting life’s canvas, I’m moving as an artist. Similar to my to my progress, I’m on a team full of martyrs. Paradise is Mamba, throwing peace to Gianna.” Irving tagged his music producer friend & St. Patrick’s HS teammate Jerry Green in his IG story where he revealed a piece of lyrics.

Talking about the upcoming season, Kyrie Irving would be hitting the court for the first time with his duo Kevin Durant. With strong hopes of making a deep playoff run in this season. With high hopes specially from Irving to support Durant and form a successful duo, it would be interesting to see how they perform in the preseason first.

In another news, he’d be on a media blackout and won’t speak directly to the media this season. While this is against the league’s protocols, it remains to be seen whether the Flat Earth will find a way to become reachable or keep sharing his thoughts in writing or as songs.
