Brazilian surfer Joao Chianca shares that he was forced to change his surfboard featuring an image of Jesus Christ before entering the Paris Games. The incident apparently took place two days before the Olympic Opening Ceremony where religious controversy shook the internet regarding the “Last Supper”.
Chianca reportedly put a post about this incident on his Instagram account but later deleted it. It was said that since the Olympics focuses on “neutrality”, a surfboard featuring Christ will be deemed as a religious symbol.
The athlete claimed that unless he removed the image or used another alternative, he would be disqualified from the competition. According to Joao Chianca, he is not authorized to place a religious figure on his board as “the game have strict rules and focus on total neutrality.”

They are not neutral in the least. Their politics are ugly and spread out over the Olympics, where they don't belong.

He should've stood his ground. It would've been a massive scandal after the ceremony had he stood his ground and been uninvited.

They just want you to obey, if you stand on principles you win.
The Olympics just put on display an opening ceremony mocking Christianity and embracing satanism. I see the “total neutrality.” Don’t you?

I don’t need any more reasons to never watch the Olympics
