Paris Saint Germain vs Brest: PSG squared off against Brest at the Parc de Princes Stadium in Matchday 21 of the ongoing edition of the Ligue 1.

Paris Saint Germain won 2-0 against Brest. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring after Gini Wjinaldum gave the assist. Mbappe created some space for his shot before slotting it home with a good right footed hit. Kehrer then doubled the lead after some great work by Nuno Mendes on the left hand flank.

Gianluigi Donnarumma(7/10)- The Italian international pulled off an absolutely incredible save to deny Cardona in the first half. He stretched brilliantly to make the block.

Presnel Kimpembe(6.5/10)- An average performance from the French defender tonight. He was a bit unsteady on the ball sometimes but overall very good.

Marquinhos(7/10)- A solid performance from the veteran Brazilian defender today. He was spraying out the passes all over the field.

Nuno Mendes(7.5/10)- The left-back was very bright throughout the game and impressed a lot. He produced a brilliant skill to provide the assist for the second goal of Kehrer.

Thilo Kehrer(7.5/10)- Kehrer did well to finish after the cross from Nuno Mendes. He was in the right position and brought down the ball well before converting.

Marco Verratti(7/10)- A lively performance indeed from the Italian dynamite. He even had shot off the post after combining brilliantly with Angel Di Maria.

Ander Herrera( 6/10)– Ander Herrera got into the referee’s book after a poor challenge in the first half. His unnecessary challenge on Jeremy was the first booking of the game.

Georginio Wijnaldum(7.5/10)- A very impressive performance from the Dutch midfielder indeed. He was driving ahead well with the ball and even got the assist for Kylian Mbappe’s opening goal.

Mauro Icardi(6.5/10)- The Argentine international had to settle without a goal today. He had a great chance to finish off from close range but failed to get past the goalkeeper.

Kylian Mbappé(8/10)- Another brilliant performance from the French international tonight. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for the home team as he finished from close range at the near post.

Ángel Di Maria(7/10)- The Argentine looked very good tonight in the attack. Angel Di Maria was very creative in the game whenever he received the ball far out in the sides.

Daniel Perrera( 6/10)- The midfielder was brought on for the injured Gini Wjinaldum. He even got booked shortly after coming on.

Sergio Ramos (6/10)- Paris Saint Germain fans will be happy to see Sergio Ramos returning. He featured for the final 18 odd minutes.

Marco Bizot(5.5/10)- A disappointing evening for the Brest goalkeeper tonight. However, there was not much he could do about the goals.

Christophe Hérelle(5.5/10)- Similar to his defensive partner, Herelle too didn’t the best of games. Slow in possession and just not able to close down the PSG forwards in time.

Brendan Chardonnet(5/10)- A poor performance from the defender today. He failed to close down Kylian Mbappe in time and conceded the first goal.

Jean-Kevin Duverne (5.5/10)- The left-back for Brest had a tough game today. He was constantly under pressure from an inform Angel Di Maria.

Ronael Pierre-Gabriel(5.5/10)- Gabriel was completely bamboozled by Nuno Mendes in the second goal. He left his man free and allowed Kehrer to score.

Hugo Magnetti(5.5/10)- The midfielder was beaten on many occasions on pace by Kylian Mbappe and this turned him angry. He got into a fight with Mbappe and got himself a yellow card.

Lucien Agoumé(5.5/10)- Agoume found it difficult to mark Gini Wjinaldum who managed to wriggle past him on occasions. He pulled Wjinaldum down with both hands and was booked following that.

Franck Honorat(7/10)- Honorat looked menacing whenever the ball was at his feet. He created a wonderful chance for Cardona in the starting minutes but the striker failed to convert.

Romain Faivre(6/10)- Faivre was operating on the right-hand side of the four-man midfield today. However, unlike Honorat he was not attacking the opposition much.

Irvin Cardona(6.5/10) – The striker had two golden opportunity in the first half but couldn’t convert either of them. The second one looked certain as he turned from close up but Donnarumma denied him.

Jeremy Le Douaron(5.5/10)- The striker hardly saw much of the ball and was neutralised by the PSG defence. He couldn’t get into scoring positions.

Substitute-

Paul Lasne(5.5/10)- Paul Lasne was brought on in place of the booked Magnetti. The Brest manager was afraid he would go down to ten men.

Hianga Mbock(5.5 10)- The midfielder came on in the second half to replace Agoume. He was not able to influence the game much.

Steve Mounie(6/10)- This was a strange decision by Brest. Cardona looked like he would score but was suddenly taken off.
