There is a new position on the horizon for 3-time PGA Tour winner Pat Perez. After having a down year in 2024, Perez has given up playing golf. The former 4Aces GC player has now decided to work as an analyst for the league in the upcoming season.
Perez joined LIV Golf in 2022 on a $10 million deal. He was one of the players who left the tour to join this breakaway league on a cushy contract. In his first season, he and his team won the team championship from which he earned $8 million more.
The 2024 season though was not a good one for him. Perez finished 48th in the season standings with no top-10 finish. He also finished just one spot above the relegation zone.
In the offseason, the 4Aces and their captain Dustin Johnson dropped him from the team. Now Perez has turned his attention to other ventures and will serves as an analyst and commentator for the upcoming season.

Perez does have experience in the broadcasting department. The 48-year-old joined his former caddie Michael Collins in 2015 to co-host the Sirius XM talk show “Out of Bounds” which lasted for six seasons. He was also part of the team that commented on the “The Match: Tiger vs. Phil” at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.
Social media reacts to Pat Perez turning analyst for LIV Golf
After a poor performance in the 2024 season, it was likely that Pat Perez may be dropped from the 4Aces team. This is exactly what happened as the team let go off him, leaving him without a team. This had lead him to work with a microphone in hand instead of a golf club.
Reacting to this news on social media, fans started to make fun of Perez. Several users trolled him for this and took a shot at him. One user wrote, “couldn’t make a cut in a no cut league“. This reason for this was due to the fact that LIV Golf does not have a cut like other professional golf tours.
