The Kansas City Chiefs have won again and that too because of a last second fumble by Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell. That means Patrick Mahomes and his teammates get to breathe easy after the visitors gave them another scare in that last-minute drive.
There was more than one minute left once the Las Vegas Raiders defense stopped Mahomes and co. from scoring and increasing the deficit. The Raiders seemingly took head coach Antonio Pierce‘s words of playing tough gritty football to heart.
This gave the ball back to O’Connell, who did not look bad all night. He repaid that faith by using short and medium throws to drive down 60 yards to the Chiefs 32.
On a 2nd and three, the second year QB spiked the ball to stop the clock at 16 seconds. On the next play, all they had to do was cover a few more yards to give kicker Daniel Carlson a chance to make up for his previous missed field goal.

But then, rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson snapped the ball with Aidan O’Connell looking to his left to set the play. The ball bounced off the QB’s chest and on to the ground and hit rookie tackle Delmar Glaze‘s foot to bounce into the hands of Chiefs’ linebacker Nick Bolton.
That was the end of their effort, as the Chiefs took over in what was a lucky break for the back-to-back Super Bowl champions. This is not the first time the men vying for a three-peat have been lucky. But this fumble at the end suggested the team is lucky to get on the winning side from such errors.
Fans feel Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs win over Raiders was scripted
The problem fans have with is that only the Chiefs are the one’s benefitting from such errors. No other team in the entire NFL has enjoyed a win off an error from their opponents this season.
To make matters worse, a flag was thrown before the play was called dead. But once the officials discussed amongst themselves, they ruled it a fumble to hand the ball back to the Chiefs.
Fans feel that the team is benefitting from everything. The three-peat history chances along with the Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce storyline has been beneficial to the NFL. This led fans to talk about it all on social media, examples of which are below.

The ref is clearly calling false start, but ruled it a fumble? How? Lol

How many times have the Chiefs had flags thrown in their favor on game deciding plays this season? It has to be a record

The Kansas City Chiefs have five tough matchups to round of their regular season. Most importantly, the final two away games against playoff hopefuls could be tough battles. But if their luck rides them through the next three, Patrick Mahomes and his starting teammates could rest up and focus on the three-peat.
