After Tom Brady, if there’s any quarterback who has competed with his legacy, it’s Patrick Mahomes– with three Super Bowl rings in the last five years. However, Chris Russo believes the latter is the best quarterback ever seen in the league’s history instead of the former with seven Super Bowl rings and a legacy of 23 years.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Mad Dog Russo has blindly picked the Kansas City Chiefs superstar over Brady. As he called him the NFL’s ‘greatest quarterback of all time,’ instead of Brady, who is promptly known as the winningest quarterback in the league’s history. In fact, it resulted in immense backlash but still, Russo seemingly isn’t bothered by those.

This time, Russo’s words came in reference to Mahomes’ historic three-peat that he is aiming for the coming season starting on September 5.

Chris “Mad Dog” Russo declares Patrick Mahomes the best-ever seen

The American radio personality firmly asserted that the reigning Super Bowl MVP is the best quarterback ever even if he didn’t achieve a three-peat, during the latest edition of the First Take show.

The Greatest of All Time is a different argument that I like to bring up, that he is the best I’ve ever seen. Because to me Mahomes is the best quarterback I have ever seen. Historically, the greatest that ever played– that is gonna become a numbers game. Because if you wanna be the greatest instead of plays, we’re gonna say that Brady won 7 and you [Patrick Mahomes] won 3.
Mad Dog said.

While acknowledging Mahomes remains behind Brady, Mad Dog also believes if there’s anyone who can outlive Brady’s legacy, it’s the Chiefs superstar. But for that, he would have to surpass the legend’s records and feats. But if the quarterback succeeds in the three-peat, he wouldn’t need to compete against the former NFL player as he didn’t have that accolade.

Russo clarified that his high praise for Mahomes is his personal opinion and not to challenge the views of those disagreeing with him. As he considers a quarterback the ‘greatest’ based on his skill set and the 28-year-old seemingly checks all his boxes to earn such high praise.
