Patrick Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes Sr., recently posted on Instagram to celebrate six months of sobriety since his Super Bowl arrest. He expressed his gratitude towards his wife, Trisha Mahomes, for her support throughout his journey.

In the picture Pat Mahomes Sr. shared, he was joined by MLB legend Pete Rose. The photo was taken at a celebrity golf tournament in June, where both were in attendance. In the caption, he updated his followers on his life, mentioning his six months of sobriety and acknowledging the difficult times he faced, but concluding that the outcome was worthwhile.

I would like to Thank my God wife family and friends for 6 months on the sunny side of the road. I know it’s been hard getting to know sober Pat but it’s well worth it. Trisha Mahomes thanks for all you do.

A week before the 2024 Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes’ father was busted in Texas for driving with a suspended license. This was the third time he was marked with a DWI offense. After several proceedings, the former MLB star is awaiting trial for the drunk-driving case.

According to previous reports from June, he was offered a plea deal which saw 10 years of probation. However, considering the trial, he rejected the deal.

Patrick Mahomes is supportive of his father Pat Mahomes Sr.

Although the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has not openly talked about his father’s DWI case, Pat Mahomes Sr. is well known as a family man. His most recent arrest was a week prior to Mahomes’ 3rd Super Bowl.

Despite Pat Mahomes’ legal troubles, he has remained a constant presence at the Chiefs’ games. After his father was arrented in February, the Chiefs QB had been by his dad’s side but did not give further insight into the situation.

He's doing good. I don't really want to get into it too much, but he's doing good for whatever the situation is. It's a family matter. I'll just keep it to the family.

Pat Mahomes Sr. had a lot of challenges in front of him and they are likely to continue until trial. Nonetheless, he has the support of his friends and family as he progresses towards growth.
