Shedeur Sanders must be regretting one moment of celebration he did on camera following the victory against the Nebraska Cornhuskers last season, as it returned to bite him after he suffered a humiliating loss against them in week 2 of this college football season. What’s worse for the quarterback is, he is facing relentless trolling in that reference to that infamous incident.
After the Nebraska fans booed the senior quarterback of LSU for leaving fields before finishing it, where one fan even shouted asking time from Sanders, in reference to his Rolex watch flex last season. Nebraska’s quarterback Dylan Raiola– who looks insanely similar to superstar Patrick Mahomes, gave an impressive performance in the second start game by completing 23-of-30 attempts for 185 passing yards and one passing touchdown.
Meanwhile, Sanders was sacked six tights which further resulted in a 20-27 loss. Following the embarrassing loss of the LSU, Riaola didn’t hold back from giving the senior quarterback a taste of his own medicine. He posted alongside Barstool’s Will Compton and Taylor Lewan in the Nebraska locker room mimicking Sanders’ infamous watch pose from last season, when he did after defeating Cornhuskers.
While the LSU quarterback, who is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft, is struggling again this season, Raiola charmed everything with his second-time performance as a starter by completing 70% of his passes and zero interceptions.
Dylan Raiola shines by leading Nebraska to victory over Colorado
In addition to his witty trolling of LSU quarterback Sanders, Raiola is making headlines for his impressive performance in week 2. He threw for 185 yards and a touchdown to win the hearts of all fans. But that isn’t all, it seems the quarterback has an uncanny resemblance to NFL elite quarterback Mahomes.
Although Nebraska made its share of mistakes in the game, especially when Raiola missed out on a passing touchdown from his wide receiver and kicker Tristan Alvano missed a field goal, the team heavily depended upon their defensive line for the victory.
This victory against Colorado makes it extra special for Nebraska, not because of Raiola’s astounding performance but for breaking the three-game losing streak against the Buffaloes and marking the 50th victory against them.
