Randi Mahomes is a proud mom through and through. If it wasn’t apparent, Patrick Mahomes‘ mom displayed her pride for her son yet again. In a recent Instagram post, she shared a key aspect of the Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback’s childhood.
With only a few days to go for the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes’ mom couldn’t be happier. Randi Mahomes took to Instagram to share a mini vlog of her showcasing the park he used to play baseball. She panned the camera to the field where the Chiefs star had plenty of wins.
Taking a trip down memory lane, she reminisced about the memories the family made. She recalled how Mahomes had once lost his James Avery Cross necklace while playing. Consequently, the family stayed up on the field all night searching for the piece and it turned into a friends and family gathering.
This is not the first time Randi Mahomes has shared tidbits of Patrick Mahomes’ life. In a recent post prior to the AFC championship game against the Buffalo Bills, she shared another. Taking the fans through the QB’s journey, she showcased the NFL star’s Draft card from 2017. Highlighting the memorable moment, she called it the Chiefs’ biggest win, and rightfully so. The team required great efforts to build back up and Patrick Mahomes has played a huge role.
Patrick Mahomes has reached the AFC championship in every season as a starter with a record of 16 playoff wins. This year’s off-season game with the Buffalo Bills marked the 4th time the teams have fought for a spot and the Chiefs come as sole dominants. With this win, the QB surpassed Joe Montana’s record for second-most off-season wins. With that out of the way, the Chiefs now aim for setting a three-peat record.

Reportedly, besides football, Patrick Mahomes was also good at baseball. There was also a point in his life when the MVP runner had to make a choice between one of the two sports as a career. The shocking news was revealed the previous year when the NFL star was featured on the cover of TIME 100 magazine.

Patrick Mahomes used to play baseball plenty as a kid. In the interview with the magazine, he confessed to baseball being his first love majorly because of his father. His time on the baseball field with Patrick Mahomes Sr. taught him to hold on to the fundamentals.
With Patrick Mahomes’ dad being an MLB player, the QB was well acquainted with the sport and the athletes, especially Alex Rodriguez. The sensational athlete quipped how he had advised Mahomes to pursue MLB because football had no money. With the current scenario, he was glad Mahomes ditched his advice.
