One thing that remained has constant has been his mother Randi Mahomes‘ support and pride in the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. Ahead of the AFC Championship game, Mahomes’ mother had a special moment to share with the fans.

Randi Mahomes took to her Instagram handle to share her way of commencing the momentous occasion. The video posted by her showcased a framed Patrick Mahomes’ 2017 Draft card when he joined the Chiefs as the 10th overall pick. The mother of the quarterback reflected on the ‘proud moment’ that has now been etched into history forever.

Recalling the time, she called it a loss for the Chicago Bears and a win for the Chiefs and no one seems to be objecting. The comments section was filled with fans appreciating Patrick Mahomes and his contributions to the league overall.

Undeniably so, Patrick Mahomes likely was the Chiefs’ best pick to this date. From then on, the quarterback has led the team to multiple Super Bowls, winning three. It remains to be seen if Mahomes and the team manage to become the first in NFL history to win three in a row. Subsequently, he has also become the league’s MVP and continues to break records.

Notably, this is not the first time mother Randi Mahomes has publicly expressed pride in her son. Matter of fact she is well known to share family insights with her followers. Only recently, she took to social media to share behind the scenes of her 49th birthday with the family. NFL rookie cards are no short of treasures for the fans. Considering Patrick Mahomes’ stand in the league today, his card was expected to be as valuable as they come. Recently, a rare high-grade rookie card of the Chiefs Quarterback was sold for nearly $2 million.

Right before the start of the NFL playoffs, the internet got wind of The 2017 Panini National Treasures card listing on ebay. However, this isn’t his first card being sold for such high price, as it comes a common notion for the MVP. Till date he has over 120 cards sold over $100,000 out of which two have cross $1 million, this one becoming the third.

The signed piece includes a patch of Patrick Mahomes’ jersey and signature. Reportedly, it is one of the rare ten made. While it did sell out for a good price, it doesn’t come close to the NFL’s highest sold ever, which also belongs to Mahomes. The collectible, a 2017 Panini National Treasures Mahomes rookie card, was sold for a whopping $4.3 million in 2021. Additionally, it was numbered ‘one of one’ making it unparrelled.
