Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are now responsible for making Patrick Mahomes lose sleep and his iconic hair. The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs has stuck to one hairstyle since he was drafted in 2017. He remained loyal to that style through wins and losses but he felt a need for change was imminent.
Patrick Mahomes has foregone the signature combination of overgrown curls along with a pigtail back. He was seen sporting a new style, a simple and sleek cut with the sides trimmed and the upper part cut short. His choice to cut his hair was surprising and sudden.
Fans were not able to believe that it was the quarterback himself because there is just one hairstyle that he has stuck with since joining the NFL and that is the one everyone associates him with. His brother Jackson Mahomes seems to have joined him as well because he too seemed to have gotten a similar hairstyle.

Patrick Mahomes makes a fresh start after his second-worst Super Bowl loss
The quarterback has had a rough couple of days. After losing in Super Bowl LIX to Philadelphia, Mahomes lost his grandfather at the age of 78. The image of his new haircut was taken at the memorial service organized for his grandfather.
The quarterback held himself accountable for the team’s 40-22 loss to Philadelphia. It was his second-worst loss in the big game after the 31-9 loss in Super Bowl LV. Mahomes is taking some time for himself and spending his off-season with his family. Recently, his daughter Sterling, 3, got her first haircut, a moment that made her mother Brittany emotional. It is the season of haircuts in the Mahomes household!
His new hairstyle is a good summer look. Shortened hair and a clean look are comfortable during the hotter days of the year, especially for athletes since their workout regimen results in excessive sweating and it becomes challenging to maintain one’s hairstyle. The big question now is if Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola, widely viewed as Patrick Mahomes’ twin will follow in the quarterback’s path and get the same haircut.
