Taylor Swift is not a distraction for the Kansas City Chiefs and their superstar Patrick Mahomes has confirmed the statement. If anything, the pop icon has been lucky not just for her beau, Travis Kelce but for the whole Chiefs team as they won their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy despite having the worst receiving corps across the league.

In the trailer of the upcoming America’s Game docu-series, the three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback dismissed the bizarre theories about Kelce’s high-profile relationship with Swift, which started last summer, negatively impacted the team as a distraction.

Patrick Mahomes praises Taylor Swift’s football knowledge

Since the “Lover” singer had front-row seats to a dozen of the Kansas City games last season, she found a new love for football that she didn’t think was possible while also learning a few things about gridiron. While talking of her in an interview with NFL on NBC, Mahomes admitted that Swift has impressed him with her knowledge of football.

She's really interested in football. She asks lots of questions. She's already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in. I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see these little girls and daughters spending time with their dad watching football.

Mahomes especially appreciated such influence on how girls and women are embracing gridiron. Swift has heavily influenced the marketing of the NFL and also brought 5 million female viewers reportedly for the Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers a 35 percent increase in the Chiefs’ fanbase.
