Patrick Mahomes’ ‘Unsportsmanlike’ celebration in the Bills game lands him with a $14k fine from the NFL
To rub more salt in Patrick Mahomes' wounds after losing to the Bills, the NFL fined the Chiefs quarterback for pointing fingers as a celebration to Noah Gray's touchdown.

Patrick Mahomes becomes the latest Kansas City Chiefs player asked to pay a fine by the NFL. They deemed a Mahomes celebration inappropriate in the Week 11 game of football.
With under eight minutes left until the final whistle, the Chiefs trailed the Buffalo Bills by nine points. Mahomes snapped the ball on second and goal and leaned right for a pass.
The All-Pro shot caller threw a dot to tight end Noah Gray, who planted both feet inside the endzone to score his second touchdown of the game. It reduced the deficit to just two points.
Right after the touchdown, Mahomes celebrated by raising his two hands and pointing his fingers at Gray. However, the NFL judged the gesture as violent in nature. The league fined the 29-year-old $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The league also fined Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones $11,255 for a facemask grab on Bills running back Ty Johnson, which the referees missed during the game.

Chris Jones $11,255 for face mask
Patrick Mahomes $14,069 for “violent gesture”
Regardless of how the league decides such fines, it will not change the fact that the Bills handed the Chiefs their first defeat of the season. After Gray’s TD, the traveling supporters thought their team could turn the game around, but a late Josh Allen 26-yard scramble settled the outcome to 21-30.
Mahomes wasn’t the only one to get a fine on Saturday. Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams gave former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch a tribute after scoring a 64-yard touchdown in a 52-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. After reaching the endzone, Williams leaped backward, landing on his rear to recreate Lynch’s iconic ‘Beast Mode’ celebration. However, the league thought it was obscene and fined him $19,697.

NFL legend predicts a Patrick Mahomes-Josh Allen rematch in the playoffs
Even though the Chiefs lost in Buffalo, they still occupy the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and the Bills hold the second with a 9-2 record. Both teams have one foot in the playoffs and have a great chance of a repeat of last year’s divisional playoff game.
Seven-time Super Bowl winner and current FOX Sports analyst Tom Brady recently broke down the week 11 games and claimed he would be surprised if Mahomes and Allen don’t play each other again in the postseason.
Before planning for the playoffs, both teams must focus on their next fixtures. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are on the road to Charlotte to play against the 3-7 Carolina Panthers, while the Bills enjoy their bye week before welcoming the San Francisco 49ers to the Highmark Stadium in December.
