Patrick Mahomes is the first quarterback to reach five Super Bowls before turning 30. He can also become the first quarterback to win four in his first seven years in the NFL.
The 29-year-old is set to face tough competition from Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the NFC Championship by defeating the Washington Commanders. Before the high-voltage fixture in New Orleans, a former NFL running back proposed a bizarre theory about Mahomes being the favorite to win and it’s related to his father.
Ex-Raiders, Seahawks rusher Marshawn Lynch played against the Chiefs several times in his playing days. From his point of view, Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., plays a big role in the Chiefs QB’s life. As Mahomes grew up in a household with an African American parent, Lynch believes they instilled in him discipline the old-fashioned way.

Marshawn Lynch wants Patrick Mahomes to make history
Winning the Super Bowl is an amazing feat. Some spend their entire lives trying to win a playoff game, but fail. Then some make their dreams come true by lifting the Lombardi Trophy.
Mahomes definitely falls into the latter category with his three rings. He also has the unprecedented opportunity of winning the Super Bowl in three consecutive seasons. The Chiefs became the first team set to appear in a Super Bowl after winning it in back-to-back seasons.
Lynch is super excited about the monumental moment, and even though he played for the Chiefs’ bitter rivals, the former All-Pro rusher wants to see the Kansas City franchise win three in a row.
