Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine is interested in focusing more on “mental health and well-being” rather than getting swept in trade rumors. While his future in the NHL remains uncertain, insiders are revealing many prospective teams who can be interested in acquiring the forward player.
After his recent stint with the Players Assistance Program due to a shoulder injury suffered during the 2023-24 season, he has decided to start a mental health initiative program with his fiancee Jordan Leigh named, “From Us to You”.
The aim of the program is to listen to people who are going through or have experienced mental stress and provide help accordingly. In a video on Instagram, Laine along with Jordan explained the reason for the start of their program noting how they wish to support people through mental health advocacy.
Laine noted that although “Hockey has been my passion and my life” he has come to realize that without focusing on oneself, a person cannot “perform at my best.” “I need to take this time to focus on myself,” he said.

Good of them for doing this. I'll bet it makes a difference in countless lives.
Hope to see Laine in a Flyers uniform sooner than later. I think he would thrive in Philly.
