This is obviously not the first time this season when someone has tried to take a dig at Bissonnette using his stats. The official account of the Chicago Blackhawks would throw a shade at him after he harshly criticized the performances of Connor Bedard and called it “pond hockey”.

This time, the 39-year-old dropped a 9-word reaction to this. He would urge the user to stop stealing stuff from Blackhawks’ twitter.

Along with the Maple Leafs, the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and the Montreal Canadians are called the ‘Original 6’ of the NHL. This year, apart from the Maple Leafs, all teams have struggled for consistency.

The Detroit Red Wings are the closest team to the playoffs. With a 30-26-4 record, the team has 66 points and is 8 points behind 3rd place Tampa Bay Lightning. If things stay the way they are at the end of the season, Bissonnette’s claim will come true.
