Paul George heaps huge praise for Grizzlies’ GG Jackson amazing rookie year

The Memphis Grizzlies of the Western Conference in the NBA boast many top players like, Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane. However, the Los Angeles Clippers‘ Paul George praised the Grizzlies’ rookie GG Jackson for his outstanding performances this 2023-24 NBA season. In addition, the Grizzlies faced many setbacks this season, with their star man Morant not playing for most of this season.

Nine-time NBA All-Star, George recently highlighted youngster Jackson of the Memphis Grizzlies’ remarkable rookie year on his “Podcast P with Paul George,” praising Jackson’s efforts. George also claimed he is a complete player who possesses a little of everything in his game.

I like the kid GG Jackson for the Memphis Grizzlies. I think he is really good. He doesn't get talked about enough for his rookie campaign. I thought he stepped in when the light was a little dim in Memphis and shed his light to kind of make a showcase that he is here to stay in the NBA. I think he is just kind of complete.

On the “Podcast P with Paul George,” Paul George said,

On the sports side, Jackson shot 42.8% from the field and 35.7% from three-point range, averaging 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game as per StatMuse. He made an impression early in the season despite playing few games; he finished fourth among rookies in points per game.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies have shared some fierce moments over the last 2-3 seasons in the NBA. However, Lakers legend, LeBron James kept the bad blood aside to praise the Grizzlies’ GG Jackson earlier this 2023-24 NBA season. James claimed that Jackson had gotten better after his match against the Grizzlies.

Ever since he’s been playing, he’s gotten better and better, I had the opportunity to watch him live at Peach Jam a couple of years ago, playing for Team CP3. You know, I feel like he was one of the best players at Peach Jam.

After the match, in the post-match interview, LeBron James said

Jackson receiving such high praise from one of the best players in the NBA would instantly boost his confidence for his career.

On the sports side, the Grizzlies had a poor 2023-24 NBA season, finishing at 13th seed in the West. Not only that, they were also dealt with a lot of injuries to their star players which completely ruined their season. However, the sole bright spot in the Grizzlies’ entire season of misfortune must have been the rise of young GG Jackson.
