Nine-time All-Star and former Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George has decided to join the Philadelphia 76ers. George has agreed to sign a $212 million contract to join the Sixers as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
George is set to join the former MVP, Joel Embiid, and All-Star point guard Tyrese Maxey. Now with the addition of George to the Sixers the balance of power in the Eastern Conference is divided between the current champions Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and now the Sixers as they have also become championship contenders for the next season.
Paul George is one of the best two-way players in the league right now with an average of 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 47.1% from the field in the previous season for the Clippers. He also had a career-high of 41.3% from 3. With Embiid, George, and Maxey together now, the Sixers’ management has formed a big three and has become serious championship contenders.
