“Have led to what?” Paul George making 76ers a favorite in East narrative is ‘tiring’, says Brian Windhorst

Nine-time All-Star Paul George joined the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason. It has made the NBA world talking, considering the championship potential of the 76ers. With George in the lineup, the Sixers have better chances of winning the East. However, some experts do not think George teaming up with Joel Embiid bring any championship success.

Insider Brian Windhorst said that the idea of Paul George “changes everything” for the team remains tiring. Windhorst also stated that there have been many occasions in the last several years when George has made the headlines in the offseason. Nevertheless, none of his off-season decisions resulted in a championship victory.

This is now the fourth time you could say he was a leading headline in the offseason. The previous three have led to what?....I'm tired of sitting here the first week of July and declaring that Paul George's arrival changes everything.

Windhorst even highlighted George’s previous moves as well, like when he moved from Indiana Pacers to Oklahoma City Thunder. The Insider also brought up the time when George joined forces with Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles. All these had great promise but failed to deliver to their expectations.

Every time George makes such moves, it makes people speculate how he can lead the team to a championship. He’s a superstar full of talent and skills but has not yet delivered as the fans expect in the playoffs. Will his luck change in Philly? Only time will, as he is also playing with former MVP Joel Embiid.

Paul George seems desperate to win the championship after the past failures in the postseason with the Los Angeles Clippers. After five years as a Clippers, he has decided to move to the Sixers, joining forces with Joel Embiid and rising superstar Tyrese Maxey.

As George moves to Philadelphia, Stephen A Smith reminds George that he only has a few years left to win it all. On The Stephen A Smith Show, Smith analyzed George’s move to Philly. While Smith highlighted some benefits, he also mentioned the pressure that comes with it.

Paul George has to bring that kind of game we know he’s capable of bringing in order to help the Sixers get over the hump. He is not devoid of pressure and I did not mean to imply that he was. I just feel more is on Daryl Morey because still need a couple of other pieces. But Paul George has to step up and get it done.

The 76ers have decided to go all in now, as both Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey seem to be at the top of their game. A problem might be surrounding this newly formed big three with a great supporting cast. Nevertheless, come playoff time, both George and Embiid must remain without any injury concerns to make a deep run in the playoffs.
