Vince McMahon’s documentary, ‘Mr. McMahon’ has been officially released on Netflix. It highlights some of the most scandalous moments from the life of the former WWE chairman. During one of the episodes, Paul Heyman revealed a wild backstage disagreement between Shane McMahon and Mr. McMahon.
In the fifth episode of the series, titled ‘Family Business’, Heyman divulged the hair-raising incident in detail. It happened after the two tussled over a creative direction.
McMahon also offered Shane O’Mac a choice to buy the company from him if he wanted to run things his way. The 79-year-old claimed he did the same thing with his dad because he never allowed him to have creative freedom. Therefore, Vince established that as long as he is in charge, the business is his way.
It was a pretty wild disagreement, in the words of Paul Heyman. The purpose of this story was to reveal that Vince always wanted things his way. Therefore, it caused a lot of internal conflict. Besides, this series gives clarity about the character that is Mr. McMahon, who certainly changed the trajectory of professional wrestling.
Shane McMahon revealed when he got his father, Vince McMahon’s respect
The documentary also highlights the relationship between the former WWE chairman and his father. However, in the last episode of the show, titled ‘The Finish’, Vince’s son, Shane McMahon revealed the moment when he received his father’s respect.
Shane disclosed that following his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, he had a wholesome interaction with his father. He said that after performing the dive from the top of Hell in a Cell, the 79-year-old patted him on the back as a sign of respect.
Shane O’ Mac called it a wonderful moment that was deeply emotional and long overdue. He further added that he used to perform risky spots to get his father’s appreciation. WrestleMania 32 was the night where it all paid off for him, averred the 54-year-old.
