Paul Heyman has been offering his services to Roman Reigns as his special counsel for the last four years in WWE. In this time frame, he has seen the highs and lows of The Tribal Chief, especially against Cody Rhodes. Recently, The Wiseman talked about The American Nightmare while heaping praise on him despite his rivalry with The OTC.
In an interview with CBS, Heyman lauded Rhodes as a workhorse in WWE, noting that the 39-year-old competes throughout the year, more than anyone else in the company. Despite his hectic schedule, Heyman emphasized that Rhodes consistently delivers top-notch performances. As a result, the WWE Hall of Famer called for more respect to be given to the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Not once have I seen a bad performance from Cody Rhodes. Not once have I seen him lackluster. Not once have I seen him rest on his laurels. If you can’t give that man his flowers right now, you’re not paying attention.

The Wiseman has frequently expressed respect for Cody Rhodes in previous interviews and on live programming. Since joining WWE, the former AEW star has become a cornerstone of the company, working tirelessly with nearly 100 matches in 2024. As a result, the Stamford-based promotion holds him in high regard, positioning him as the top face of WWE.

Meanwhile, Heyman appears to be back on WWE programming. He made his return ahead of Survivor Series on SmackDown alongside CM Punk, teasing a new alliance. However, it seems that Heyman has potentially rejoined Reigns’ side once again. Now that he is back in the mix, Heyman could become more involved on WWE TV, increasing the chances of him crossing paths with Rhodes again.
Will Paul Heyman betray Roman Reigns for The Rock ahead of WrestleMania?
Since his return on SmackDown with CM Punk, Paul Heyman has been acting quite suspicious. Although he has remained mostly silent since his comeback, speculation has been swirling about The Wiseman having something up his sleeve. One theory suggests that Heyman could align himself with The Rock, potentially betraying Roman Reigns and The OG Bloodline in the process.

The 59-year-old is known for his heel tactics, having previously aligned with vicious superstars like Brock Lesnar and Punk. With Reigns now positioned as a babyface, their partnership feels somewhat unnecessary. As a result, The Wiseman may betray The Needle Mover, embracing his heel persona once again. This could lead to a potential alliance with The Rock ahead of WrestleMania.
When the WWE Hall of Famer made his return on SmackDown, he was seen donning the same colors as Solo Sikoa. Heyman’s choice to wear the same colors as Sikoa could hint at a potential alliance with The Final Boss. This further fuels the theory that Sikoa might be in cahoots with The Great One. Therefore, when the time comes, Heyman could join sides with the Hollywood star and Sikoa’s Bloodline.
