Paul Merson gives Thomas Tuchel an A+ for the job he’s done so far at Chelsea


A 2-0 win over Everton means that Thomas Tuchel’s unbeaten run as Chelsea boss extended to eleven games. A Ben Godfrey own goal and a Jorginho penalty ok the second half sealed all three points for Chelsea who are now in pole position to secure top four.

Paul Merson believes that Chelsea have done an incredible job up until now and has hailed Thomas Tuchel for his influence. Since the arrival of the German coach it’s only been an upside graph for the blues who will be facing Leeds United next.
They’ve now managed to keep a buffer of five points between them and others who are chasing for the top four which includes the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Everton. Atletico Madrid is on the cards as well on 18th March.
Paul Merson believes that Thomas Tuchel has done an A+ job up until now but stresses that the task is not finsihed. Chelsea need to keep up this good form if they are to secure top four. With West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur in good knick, it could slip out of their hands at any time.
Everything is going right for Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel, at the moment.
They’ve had two big results against Liverpool and Everton to continue what has been an unbelievable run and full credit has to go to Tuchel.
They were a real handful against Everton, and Kai Havertz epitomised that. We finally saw his best on Monday, he was simply outstanding. I didn’t realise how quick he was! He was a real handful and the decision to bring him in last night was rewarded.
