Paul Pierce is considered one of the best clutch players in NBA history. After retirement, Pierce became an analyst and is known to make bold statements, especially about his fierce rival LeBron James. The current Team USA is fully stacked with NBA superstars and veterans like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant. Players like Jayson Tatum, Anthony Davis, and Bam Adebayo are coming off the bench making them a formidable unit.
Paul Pierce has again made a bold statement on the show “Undisputed” about LeBron James. During the show, Pierce stated that Anthony Edwards is the clear leader of the stacked Team USA. Despite knowing of the superstar presence of LeBron James and Stephen Curry, Pierce made these statements. He said Edwards had that aura of being the most exciting player on the court and could turn the game at any point.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are superstars in the NBA and whichever team they go to, they become the biggest superstars. But Pierce doesn’t feel that and stated that Edwards can be a better leader for the team on the court.
Edwards played the exhibition match against Team Canada and scored 13 points and led Team USA in scoring. Pierce even wanted Edwards to start for the team in the coming games. Team USA will have their showcase matches against Australia, Serbia, South Sudan, and Germany in the coming few days.
Team USA showed a dominant performance against Team Canada
Team USA had their first exhibition match against Team Canada. The USA played dominantly throughout the whole game and proved to be the favorites in the upcoming Olympics further they defeated Team Canada by 86-72 on Wednesday. The starting lineup for Team USA was LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Joel Embiid and Jrue Holiday.
Anthony Edwards came off the bench and scored 13 points and led the Team USA in scoring. Steph Curry scored 12, Anthony Davis scored 10 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks, LeBron James scored 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists and Jrue Holiday had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Team USA has been a favorite entering the 2024 Paris Olympics and is favored to win their fifth Olympic gold medal for the fifth consecutive time. Lastly, the teams that could pose a threat to the USA are Serbia, Greece, Germany, and Spain.
