Paul Pierce talks about Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid has been known as the most hated player in the league. From his continuous flopping and dirty plays, fans have expressed their anger over Embiid. Currently, he is a part of the Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics. When Embiid arrived in Paris for the Olympics he got a cold welcome from the fans and the locals. After which Embiid even crowned himself as the most hated player in the NBA.
Boston Celtics legend, Paul Pierce who has now become a regular analyst on the show “Undisputed” talked about Joel Embiid. In one segment the panel discussed Embid’s self-proclaimed statement.
I don’t think Embiid understands what it is to be hated. I will say like, I was hated in the NBA…I would look at us as more disappointed in Embiid, not hating. He will get criticism because sometimes he looks like sometimes he is not in the best of shape. Because we know that Embiid at his best is probably the best player in the league.Paul Pierce via Undisputed
Paul Pierce is also someone who understands hatred from the NBA fans. As in many instances in his career, he was hated by the NBA fans whether for being LeBron’s rival or forming a big three in the Boston Celtics. Embiid will probably try to get better in the next season and prove the haters wrong.
Embiid will now also be joined by Paul George alongside his All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers are one of the strongest teams entering the next season. Furthermore, Embiid will hope to finally win his first championship which he has been falling short of in the past few years.

ESPN’s insider Brian Windhorst talked about Joel Embiid being part of the Team USA. He claimed Embiid would be crucial to Team USA’s success in the Olympics.
The USA are certainly going to be the favorites entering the tournament. Their first game on the main stage will be against Serbia. It will be great to see Embiid clash with another big man in Nikola Jokic.
