South Sudan were considered the clear underdogs coming into the Paris Olympics warmup game against Team USA. Before the game, many NBA fans and experts thought it would just be another walk in the park for Steve Kerr’s men.

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce also felt that Team USA would easily pass through South Sudan. However, after the game, every basketball fan was shocked as Team USA barely managed to come out on top with just a one-point difference.

During the show “Undisputed” Pierce shared an apology to the team of South Sudan for his previous comments. He even stated that his perception of international basketball has changed because of them, going on to say that the talent the South Sudan team has is NBA-worthy.
