Juventus star Paul Pogba broke the internet when reports of his ban from professional football came out. The Frenchman was slapped with a four-year ban after he was unable to prove his innocence in a doping case. However, an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) saw his ban be reduced to 18 months, giving him a realistic chance of making a return to the pitch.

As things stand, the player is currently under contract with Juventus. However, reports state that the club is looking to terminate his contract with them although the player is willing to take a significant pay cut to continue with the Italian giants. The player confidently stated that he wants to continue with the club and that his football will do the talking.

It’s not me, but the pitch that will do the talking. Thiago Motta can then see me with his eyes and judge.

The player has only made a total of 12 appearances since rejoining the club from Manchester United in 2022 and is pocketing €2000 (minimum salary) at the moment.

Paul Pogba names club he will ‘never’ join after doping ban gets lifted

Paul Pogba‘s 18-month doping ban ends in 2025, with the player able to return to the pitch in March. The player will be 32 by the time and will most likely be at a new club. Will I join AC Milan? Impossible. Even if (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic calls me, he knows I won’t betray Juve.

Pogba also discussed the possibility of returning to the national team, although the possibility of playing at the 2026 World Cup remains a distant possibility. His last game for Juventus came in September 2023 in a 2-0 win over Empoli.

That being said, the 31-year-old clarified that Didier Deschamps has not closed any doors for the player. The situation in the national team camp is not smooth either, will Kylian Mbappe coming under criticism for ‘skipping’ games while being available for selection with Real Madrid. The striker has also come under serious allegations of rape.
