Frenchman Paul Pogba posted an emotional farewell message on social media addressing Juventus fans’, after the Italian club terminated his contract. Pogba is now a free agent, ahead of his return to football from a doping ban, that lasts until March 2025.
Paul Pogba’s contract has been terminated through mutual agreement. It ended his stint with the Italian giants after having returned to the club in 2022. In his second stint lasting two years, he made just 12 appearances, owing to a doping ban that was handed to him in September last year. Pogba is yet to play a match this season, but is set to make his return to football in March 2025, after his four-year ban was reduced to just 18 months. His exit has paved the way for him to make a free transfer to another club.
The 31-year-old midfielder penned an emotional farewell message to fans on social media. The ex-United player exclaimed that things always do not go the way everyone wants. He however, highlighted his excitement for a new chapter in his life. Moreover, he noted the unforgettable bond that he shares with the Juventus fans, adding that he would carry the fans’ affection throughout his life. Pogba has made 180 appearances for the Old Lady in six years, scoring 34 goals and providing 41 assists.

With the Frenchman now set to return to playing, it remains to be seen where he lands next. Some sources suggest that a host of clubs in the middle-east and the MLS are interested in acquiring Pogba’s services. A few other sources have linked him with a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille.
