The French Open is well underway with its matches and the fans have already started to become a major issue for some players. While one of them spat gum, others were cheering at the wrong time, distracting the players.

The most recent incident happened a night ago when Iga Swiatek directly requested the fans not to cheer during the rallies. After this, Paula Badosa was asked if she minds the cheering from the crowd during points/rallies.

Surprisingly, the Spaniard had a way different answer than the others. She revealed that she found it extremely normal for the fans to make noise between points and even compared it to the noises they make in other sports. However, while speaking about Swiatek, Badosa revealed that the Pole should not have any problem, given that she plays in the best stadium.

I think she cannot complain because I played Court 8 and 9 and you can hear everything. Like, I can hear Suzanne Lenglen, Philippe Chatrier, Court 6, 7 during the points. I think she's very lucky she can play all the time on Philippe Chatrier and she's okay with that.

As an unranked player, Badosa got a draw to play in the small courts, which are closer to the public, and the noise can be heard easily. However, Swiatek only plays in the main court and is placed where the crowd noise is considerably less.

After a great victory in the second round, she returned from a set down to win the match, she will play Sabalenka in another exciting matchup. Speaking about it, Badosa praised her friend’s energy that she brings to the match.

Of course sharing the court with her after all these results she's doing and all this is a pleasure for me, because, you know, this past year hasn't been easy. So playing this kind of match, it makes it all worth it, you know.
