Paula Badosa has reacted to the viral video of her and her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas stretching together at the Cincinnati Open. The tennis couple found time to connect and unwind at the Masters 1000 event despite their busy professional schedule
Badosa and Tsitsipas had a short split in May but have since been back together. Badosa, who was ranked outside the Top 100 is now WTA’s No.36. On the other hand, Tsitsipas has not been in the best form this season but won his only title this year at the Monte Carlo Masters. At the Cincinnati Open, a clip of them at the gym holding hands in the middle of their stretching session has gone viral.
The couple seems to share a similar post-match routine this season. It is not the first time they have been spotted together at the gym. At the Australian Open in January, the couple were spotted having a post-match recovery. Tsitsipas has always revealed that he loves spending time with his girlfriend.
On X, Badosa shared the reason for the viral clip of them at the gym. The Spaniard revealed that they didn’t know there were cameras in the gym and they were chatting after her round of 16 victory.
Unfortunately, we didn’t know there were cameras there. I had just finished my match, and nobody was in the gym; we were just stretching and chatting after my win. So please, before all this judgment and talking, inform yourselves and chill a bit. Thanks.Paula Badosa wrote via X

Badosa beat Yulia Putintseva 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 16 of the Cincinnati Open. She will play Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarterfinals on Sunday (August 18). Meanwhile, Tsitsipas exited from the tournament in the round of 32 after losing to British Jack Draper.
Paula Badosa in her best form of the season after a chronic back injury
Paula Badosa has emerged from rock bottom with an unusual strength this season. The Spaniard has suffered several injuries this year that have seen her retire or skip tournaments. She revealed after the Madrid Open that some doctors informed her that playing professionally would be impossible due to her chronic back injury.
However, she is completely on a different landscape four months after the doctor’s report. She has won nine of her last ten matches. The 26-year-old won the Citi Open, her first title in two years. At the Cincinnati Open, she continued with her good form beating Anna Kalinskaya and Yulia Putintseva to reach the quarterfinals.
She will play Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarterfinals and if she does win the match, she will cement her place in the Top 30 of the WTA rankings. She earned a seed at the US Open just a few months after using her protected ranking to compete in major tournaments. The former World No.2 will hope to continue to be injury-free for the remainder of the season.
