Dana White, the president of the UFC, initially stated that Costa would not be permitted to compete in his subsequent fight at middleweight, but he then scheduled Costa vs. Rockhold for July at 185 pounds. For unclear circumstances, the fight for UFC 278 in August was just moved.
Recently, he stated, “I did some mistakes, I lost the last two fights, so I need to win this one and look forward. But I believe two wins, I’ll be on line to fight for the belt again.”
