Cash has recently weighed in about his fellow countryman, Nick Kyrgios’ newly-adopted persona. The 25-year-old is quite well-known for raking in the biggest fine in the ATP history of $113,000 for his misconduct at the Cincinnati Masters 2019. However, the Grand Slam quarter-finalist has been a proponent for aiding those in need in recent times.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Nick has repeatedly taken a stand for social distancing. He’s often stood up against top-ranked players like Alexander Zverev for violating the much-needed protocols. Even so, many, including Pat Cash have weighed in on the hazy countenance that Kyrgios maintains.

In an interview with Tennis Net, Cash stated, “I know Nick. But I pay very little attention to what he has to say. If Nick Kyrgios gives us advice on how to behave, then we’re in a worse situation than I thought.”

Pat said so, citing the many incidences where Nick has displayed an insolent attitude towards the sport, his colleagues and even other players. After taking almost a year-long break due to the pandemic, Kyrgios will be seen in action at the Australian Open 2021 most likely.
