Manchester City boss Pep Guadriola admitted that his side was no match to Paris Saint-Germain, who earned an impressive 4-2 win over the EPL giants. The Cityzens gave away a 2-0 lead, to concede thrice in 22 minutes in a humiliating Champions League defeat.
City dropped to a dismal 25th position on the Champions League table. Now, there are fears that they might fall short of making it into the knockout stages of the competition. Cityzens continued with their poor run in the competition, as they only have eight points from seven matches. They have lost three UCL matches this term against PSG, Juventus and Sporting CP.
Pep Guardiola‘s side, who have endured a slump over the last few months, suffered their ninth defeat of the season. Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland helped Man City take a 2-0 lead in the opening minutes of the second-half. However, they failed to capitalize on their lead as PSG scored four past them. Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves and Goncalo Ramos found the back of the net.

Pep Guardiola confirms Manchester City injury blow, following humiliating PSG defeat
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed another major injury setback for club center-back Ruben Dias. The Portuguese defender was substituted off at half-time during the club’s 4-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to PSG.
Ruben Dias had only returned to Man City’s lineup a week ago, featuring in the club’s 6-0 victory of Ipswich Town. He had previously missed six matches across all competitions with an unconfirmed injury. Against PSG, he was left seemingly uncomfortable and Guardiola revealed why the substitution was made.
It remains to be seen whether Ruben Dias turns out to be fit for Man City’s upcoming matches. However, the club will not be impacted by the 27-year-old’s absence. They have signed two new defender, Vitor Reis from Palmeiras, and Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens.
