Is Pep Guardiola a victim of his own success? The legendary manager is currently on the verge of leading Manchester City to yet another Premier League title after taking charge at the club in 2016. With just two games left to play for City, winning both of them would result in a record sixth title in the last seven years!

Several opposition fans have started to claim that the League has become boring after Man City’s relentless and unstoppable pursuit of the same. In a recent press conference, a reporter pitched the same question at Pep.

It’s safe to say that the Spaniard wasn’t amused at the same. The manager claimed that if it was all about money, other clubs should be running away with ‘all the titles’.

As a reporter quizzed Pep Guardiola on the same, the Spaniard was reminded of what Sir Alex Ferguson said back in 2003.

Sir Alex described Manchester United‘s title race with Arsenal as ‘squeaky bum time’ for the Gunners. This phrase subsequently made it into the Oxford dictionary too. Guardiola, when informed about Ferguson’s comments quickly asked for a translation.

Pep then proceeded to agree that both him and his players will be feeling the pressure as they take on Spurs on their own turf. If City lose against Spurs, Arsenal’s fate will fall into their own hands.

However, if City win against Tottenham, the former will fall into the driving seat. A draw on the 15th will mean that Arsenal will enjoy the advantage of going into the final matchday given their slightly better goal difference.
