Coach Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on midfielder Ilkay Gundogan after the German international scored yet again in this season. Guardialo has spoken extremely highly about Ilkay Gundogan and called him one of the smartest player he has ever seen.
Ilkay Gundogan this season has been absolutely incredible- 13 goals from 23 Premier League plus another 3 from seven UEFA champions league appearances. He’s one of the leading contenders for the PFA player of the year award.
In the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan has stepped up and done a brilliant job- a huge integral part of their success this season in the Premier League goes to him. Moreover he will be crucial in their aspirations to get the quadruple.
