Erling Haaland scored a stunning hat-trick as Guardiola’s men picked up their third win of the season. With a perfect record, City are currently at the top of the table. Guardiola recently stated that the ‘real’ season is yet to start for his side and that they’ll pick up pace after the international break.
Man City have won the last four Premier League titles and have their eyes set on another. Following an impressive start to their season, Guardiola said that his men will lock in after they return from the international break. To add to the surprise, City haven’t had to field Rodri for even a single minute this season and still find themselves going strong at the top.

However, the club are now forced to search for alternatives as Guardiola has entered the final year of his contract.
As per reports, two major reasons may convince the manager to part ways with the club. To start with, the constant FFP allegations and legal complications have played a part. Additionally, Guardiola’s name has been suggested as one of the candidates to succeed Gareth Southgate. The Three Lions are currently being managed by interim manager Lee Carsley.
As City consider the possibility of life without Guardiola, there is the understanding that several important players may also leave the club alongside the manager.
