Not many would agree to the fact that Pep Guardiola‘s €950 million is ‘terrible’. However, the Spaniard decided to do just that in a press conference as City prepare to take on Brighton & Hove Albion Saturday. With injuries to several crucial first-team players, the Cityzens have lost all of their last three games!
With consecutive defeats against Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth and Sporting, Guardiola has to fix things quickly before they suffer any further damage. Ruben Dias, John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish are still not fit to take to the pitch. However, Pep Guardiola will be looking not to face defeat yet again to avoid risk of falling further down the table.
Amid all this, the manager’s recent remark might sound disturbing to fans. Guardiola did not mince words when commenting on City’s current condition.
Guardiola’s response comes to a question probing whether his side were a man short in attack owing to the injuries.

However, one must remember that the manager has a habit of twisting his words in front of the press and is known for his light-hearted jokes.
Guardiola hands Brighton boss full credit ahead of Premier League clash
Premier League side Brighton have done particularly well to place themselves in eighth position after ten games. With 16 points, Fabian Hurzeler‘s side are above the likes of Newcastle United, West Ham and even Manchester United! As they get ready to face Manchester City after consecutive defeats to Liverpool, Guardiola has offered the highest praise to his ‘former player’.
It is interesting to note that Hurzeler was a young player at Bayern Munich during Guardiola’s time in charge with the German giants. Aged just 31, Hurzeler is younger than certain players in his own squad. The young manager has inspired his side to victories against United, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur this season.

As the clock ticks down for the clash, Hurzeler has issued his intention to both meet and beat his former boss at Falmer Stadium.
