The Spaniard has been rivalled by the likes of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. In a recent interview, Pep Guardiola appeared to take a jab at his former rival Klopp, who parted ways with Liverpool at the end of last season.

The City boss said this in response to a query that sought to probe how he wasn’t fatigued and needed a break, as mentioned by Jurgen Klopp in his farewell video. As of now, Jurgen Klopp is set to join Red Bull as the Head of Global Football on January 1, 2025.
Pep Guardiola assures fans that he’ll stay at the club ‘no matter what’
Manchester City are currently in a difficult spot their season. From navigating an injury crisis to suffering four back-to-back defeats in all competitions, the club desperately needs a change of atmosphere.
In a recent press conference, Guardiola once again mentioned that he has no plans to ‘run away’ from the club no matter what happens. The Spaniard recalled how he vowed to stay even if the club was relegated to the second division, amidst the impending verdict of the 115 charges.

Speaking along similar lines, Guardiola has now assured that he will remain at the club even if City doesn’t manage to secure a Champions League spot. As of now, the club is in second position and five points below League leaders Liverpool.
The 53-year-old recently signed a two-year extension with City, thereby keeping him at the Etihad till 2027.
