Manchester City are at the most successful point in their entire history. The Cityzens are reigning Premier League champions and are totally equipped to successfully defend their title once again. However, it appears that the club are heading into a period of transition. With the departure of long-term sporting director Txiki Begiristain and the rumored departure of head coach Pep Guardiola, fans are on high alert.
As per recent reports, there is still no confirmation as to whether Guardiola will opt to continue at the club. Names like Sporting boss Ruben Amorim have been put forward as his potential replacement. It is understood that the 39-year-old is extremely keen on replacing the Spaniard at City if he ends up parting ways with them at the end of the season. Additionally, Pep Guardiola‘s contract with the club is up at the end of the season.
Amorim has led Sporting to two Primeira Liga titles and will look to secure another before he potentially leaves for the Etihad. The manager was previously linked to Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp‘s departure.

Barcelona have bold plan to sign Manchester City star
FC Barcelona have been on the lookout for a top signing ever since rivals Real Madrid got a hold of Kylian Mbappe in the summer. Fans believe that the obvious response to the same would be City’s beloved striker Erling Haaland. Although the forward is under contract at the Etihad till 2027, it is understood that Haaland doesn’t see City as a club where he will spend his entire career.
Even though reports claim that the player and club are looking to pen a contract extension till 2029, Barcelona are keen on signing the player. Joan Laporta is willing to pay a world-record fee to complete the deal and unveil him alongside the renovated Camp Nou in 2026.

Haaland is in top form for the Cityzens this season and has already bagged 10 goals from seven games in the Premier League itself. He suffered an embarrassing 5-1 loss to Austria in the international break and will be keen to get back to winning ways against Wolves. Fans have backed the 24-year-old to win the Premier League Golden Boot once again this season.
