Pep Guardiola has established himself as one of the visionaries in modern-day football, coaching Manchester City to dizzying heights in the recent times. Before he arrived at Etihad, he managed Barcelona’s star-studded outfit while following that up with another illustrious reign for Bayern Munich before finally arriving at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is known for his passing-style of football which is not particularly liked by a significant section of the fans. There have always been a hue and cry about how fans love to see the game being played as per their preferred method, where there will be a bit of wing play and the crosses would pour in and then forwards would come storming in to latch to those deliveries.

In a media interaction, Guardiola was asked by a fan about what happened to orthodox football with a bit of flair around. The Manchester City coach said that he was ready to take the blame for his passing brand of football.

Football is not just about pass pass pass? That’s good, let them blame me, no problem.

As another Premier League season approaches, Guardiola would be hoping Manchester City to continue their dream run while they defend their Premier League title. Manchester City has been on a roll for the last four years, clinching the League consecutively with Liverpool being the last team to lift the title in 2019 apart from City.

Here’s how Manchester City continue to revolve their hopes around youth

City has been reshuffling their ranks with a handful of talented players who have been earmarked for greatness in the near future. 20-year-old Brazilian right-winger, Savinho was the latest addition to the squad from Troyes while the likes of Joao Cancelo, Kalvin Phillips, Yan Couto, Claudio Echeverri and Maximo Perrone returned to City after the end of their respective loans.

Guardiola will be pinning his hopes for the season on the hallowed quartet of Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne.
