‘Perfect addition to our family’ – AB de Villiers and wife Danielle welcome baby daughter

South African cricketer AB de Villiers took to Instagram to inform his followers of the newest addition in his family. He revealed that his wife Danielle had given birth to their third child, a daughter on November 11. The couple’s first two children were sons. The daughter has been named Yente de Villiers.

de Villiers had just returned to South Africa after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League where the Proteas batsman had an excellent season as he came up with a plethora of match-winning knocks for his side. Although, his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could not get their hands on the trophy that has been eluding them for quite some time, they did manage to reach the playoffs riding on de Villiers’ brilliance.

AB de Villiers took to Instagram today, nine days after his daughter’s birth, to inform the world of the news. He posted a picture of himself with his wife and new-born daughter Yente and captioned it as, “On 11-11-2020, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world Yente de Villiers, you are the perfect addition to our family and such a blessing. We are grateful beyond measure for YOU! Genade onbeskryklik groot. Dankie Here”.

No sooner had the South African posted the picture, than there were plenty of congratulatory wishes from fans and friends alike. de Villiers won’t be seen in cricketing action for quite some time as he has pulled out of the upcoming Big Bash League 2020 to spend some time with his wife, new-born daughter and sons.
