“There needs to be unfinished business”- Peter Schrager warns the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of Super Bowl 56
Peter Schrager talks about Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals will be up against the Los Angeles Rams in this year’s Super Bowl, A matchup hardly anyone would have predicted at the start of the season such has been the rise of both these teams who have overcome all the odds which were up against them throughout the season.
The Los Angeles Rams however had a solid roster who has been to the Super Bowl a few seasons ago and with the additions of Odell Beckham Jr and Von Miller during the season, this team emerged as a strong contender and performed like that as they knocked out the defending champions led by Tom Brady during their run to the Super Bowl.
Cincinnati Bengals on the other hand have been the biggest surprise of this season as they had a very young roster with a quarterback who was just in his 2nd season and players around him who were not renowned to be serious threats to the opponents, but their journey has been like a dream run as they have shocked everyone and knocked out the 1st and 2nd seed in the AFC on their way to Super Bowl after winning a division which is probably the toughest division in NFL right now.
Popular NFL Analyst Peter Schrager talked about the Cincinnati Bengals and said, “There needs to be unfinished business.”, indicating that the team should not get up with the big moment and be well prepared to face the dangerous Los Angeles Rams who come into this match as the favorites.
Peter Schrager compares this Cincinnati Bengals team with th 1994 Los Angeles Chargers team
Peter Schrager on the Good Morning Football Show talked about how should this Bengals team prepare themselves for the Super Bowl and said, “The most interesting part of this game is the Bengals come from nowhere story which we were not talking about in August.”, He added, “We have seen this before from these teams and then it comes to the final stage where everyone is like they were not supposed to be here.”
He then compared this Cincinnati Bengals with the Los Angeles Chargers team of 1994 where they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers who seemed to be the favorite to win it all that year just like the Bengals defeated the Kansas City Chiefs this season.
Peter Schrager added, “The Cincinnati Bengals can’t let their story of the season be ‘We beat Mahomes at Arrowhead’, there needs to be unfinished business which should be the goal, as there is a tendency to celebrate this moment and not focus on the job that is left to done.”
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be hoping to win the first Super Bowl in franchise history and cement their legacy and be a part of the history which is highly possible as we have seen Burrow leading this team from the jaws of defeat to victory throughout the season.
