Former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback, Super Bowl champion, and now sportscaster Peyton Manning has weighed in on the ongoing turmoil surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles. Reports from the Eagles’ camp suggest growing tension among key players, with disputes over offensive strategies and concerns about limited playing time fueling speculation of an internal rift.

The camp, which is too fond of Tush Push, had a minimal role for wideouts and was targeted far and few by the quarterback, Jalen Hurts. The shift in offensive gameplay irritated some members of the roster, who burst on social media after much buildup.

The tug-of-war between the blame game has gone so far with Are the Eagles Planning to Trade AJ Brown Before the NFL’s Deadline?. Amid these trade talks, Manning gave a piece of crucial advice, one that the media has been discussing quite often. Manning, who’s had his few share of disputes and conflicts with regard to claims of less targeted throws, admitted the challenges of being a wideout whose role is to catch and convert.

The Super Bowl winner suggested Brown that the grass isn’t greener on the side he’s not on. He pointed out the fact that the Eagles have been on a winning path, and they have the Lombardi Trophy from last season. His analysis stemmed from the fact that though there are teams with wideouts having more yards and other numbers, those franchises have a weak record in the league and might miss the playoffs altogether.

If he just stays in there, I can promise you that good things are coming. Hopefully, he and Jalen can get on the same page; they are too good a combination. I understand that he’s frustrated at times.

The media personality then continued to urge Brown to drive through these trying times. He added that he and the quarterback will soon become acquainted and on the same page.

Manning also threw shade at the Tennessee Titans, noting that Brown would not want to play on his former team with their current numbers. The Titans, who picked first in the draft, were 1-6 before Sunday’s game. Cam Ward might love a wideout like Brown, but no one wants to be at the bottom of the conference table.

After Sunday, the Titans have gotten even worse with a straight third loss to Manning’s former team, Indianapolis Colts, which is in hot form with Daniel Jones.

Is the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense better without AJ Brown?

AJ Brown was sidelined for the Eagles’ Week 8 game against the Big Blue. The wideout, who missed three practices due to injury, was ruled out ahead of the game. However, he’s not expected to miss too many games and will return after the Eagles’ Week 9 bye.

In their first game without Brown following the outburst, the Birds had the better of the New York Giants. The Giants were silent as the Eagles put up 427 yards on offense, averaging 7.5 yards per play, and ended up scoring 38 points.

The Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw four touchdown passes, two to Dallas Goedert and one each to Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson. AJ Brown’s confidante, DeVonta Smith, had six catches for 84 yards.

In addition to the passing game, the Eagles also established a strong run game. They rushed for 276 yards and averaged 8.4 yards per carry, while Barkley took most of it with 150 rushing yards. There’s no doubt this was their best offensive performance of the season.

Unsurprisingly, it raised the question of whether their offense is better without Brown. In terms of the locker room chemistry without alleged awkwardness, it may be. But the presence of a wideout like Brown only elevates the team. Brown’s ability to stretch the field forces defenses to stay honest, creating more opportunities in the run game for Barkley and providing Jalen Hurts with a reliable deep threat.

As the Eagles hunt to defend their crown, for the time being, they are sailing despite the bumps. If they end up defending the Lombardi, it’s no small feat, and Brown would be better with one more ring.
