Peyton Manning is making the most of retirement. The former quarterback has made his foray into the media industry and is successfully making a mark with his Omaha Productions.

His show along with brother Eli Manning titled ManningCast has proven to be a big hit amongst fans who enjoy their on-air chemistry. ESPN has renewed their contract to bring the Monday night show back this year as well but with the addition of former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

However, even with similar career trajectories, Peyton Manning is different in comparison to his peer Tom Brady. The latter is focusing on making big business moves through the acquisition of multiple sports teams and a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. For many players, it is a dream to own a team in the league in which they have played after retiring. However, not for Manning, who intends to steer clear of ownership for the time being.

I don't think that's anywhere on my radar by any means. I love being an ambassador for the Broncos and for the Colts, for the University of Tennessee. Obviously, living here I get to go to all the Broncos games. I was out at the facility the other day. Our kids do sports in the area around Dove Valley, so I'm probably at the facility a couple times a week.

Manning is enjoying most of the perks that come with being the owner of an NFL team already, it would make no sense for him to invest financially as it comes with its own share of stress.

Peyton Manning intends to restrict his focus to his company, Omaha Productions for the interim

Considering his legacy and contributions to the Broncos, Manning will enjoy these perks for the rest of his life. He led the team to a Super Bowl run in 2016 against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, who were at the time, a force to be reckoned against. The team has struggled since that point forward and the local fanbase has nothing but love and respect for what Manning has given them.

The quarterback continues to make timely visits there to catch up with the coaching staff and look at the progress of the young talent on the team. The organization has not taken away the key fob that grants him access to the team’s facilities from him despite his retirement. It is their way of being grateful to him for everything that he has accomplished in the Mile High City.

Manning admitted that he continues to feel a strong connection to the city of Denver.

I still feel an attachment and have really enjoyed getting to know the Walton-Penner family as well. But as far as running a team, I don't think that's on my radar.

To each, their own. Manning understands the nuances that come with being the owner of an NFL team, as Sylvester Stallone puts it, “It ain’t all sunshine and rainbows.” The Broncos are part of a new ownership group featuring the likes of Magic Johnson and Rob Walton.
